16 Nepali cricketers to boycott cricket field

16 members Nepali World Twenty20 Cup squad opted not to take part in the national league and International tournaments until the current working committee of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) got dissolved.

Paras Khadka, skipper of Nepali cricket team said on behalf of Nepali players that they are completely ignored by cricket's governing body even on scheduling national tournament and paying them salary-allowance as well.

Paras said explaining the reason behind boycott, 'we are recently back in Nepal after playing the world cup and our next tournament i.e. ACC Premier League is just 20 days away and CAN organizing national tournament at same time. It means we don't get time for practice for one of the big ACC's tournament. CAN, must think about timetable first before organizing any tournaments.'

Nepali players also accused CAN for not giving them salary and allowance for 8 months which they were promised. This is the first time that Nepali players boycotting the cricket field showing dissatisfaction over management of CAN.
