Paras and Subash suffering from injury and fever

Just Nepali Cricket/January 10

Today, Nepal lost the first warm up match against Namibia by 4 runs. Many of us are very happy that Nepali team pulled the total that much close without the skipper Paras Khadka and opening batsman Subash Khakurel. Yet many people raised eyebrow when they didn't saw Paras and Subash in the playing 11 in such an important exposure game. Coach Pubudu Dassanayake informed Just Nepali Cricket that, Paras is suffering from minor back strain which he carried during the match against
Canterbury Selection XI. He said, 'We don't want to risk Paras in practice game, as he is needed in main fixture'. He added, 'Paras will play against UAE directly until then we will keep him under physio Subramaniam Veerasammy's supervision'.
Paras Khadka is a good batsman, bowler and fielder as well. He is also a strategic person in the cricket field. Nepal badly missed him on the last match against Canterbury and today against Namibia, as Nepali team lost the matches by lower margins.
Likewise, opener Subash Khakurel is also suffering from fever. Coach said JNC that, 'Subash is suffering from fever for four days, now he is recovering well but not 100 percent yet. So we didn't want him to risk at this stage of the tournament'. He didn't speak about his comeback match as he is not certain about Subash until now. Hope these players will recover soon.
In detail conversation, Just Nepali Cricket asked the question that, 'what is the condition of the pitch there? Is it not helping spinners?'. The coach answered, 'It (the pitch) is helping medium pacers however our spinners are experienced enough to bowl well on these tracks'. He expressed happiness about the performance of Sompal in today's match.

Nepal will face Kenya in the second and final official match on tomorrow. Kenya today lost against Hong Kong by two runs of margin.
