ICC World Cricket Cup 2013/2014

Just Nepali Cricket/January 18

Having great victory record against Hong Kong can't guarantee the win at this instant for Nepal as later already won the both matches at the ICC World Cup Cricket Qualifier 2014, where Nepal is yet to taste a success. Hong Kong is playing preeminent cricket thus far and Nepal will of course find complexity to prevail the team that have many overseas players from Pakistan and India.

At the moment, Nepal is in big snag after losing consecutive matches against the UAE and Scotland. They still have leeway to reach super six stage but only two big triumph can illustrate some gesture of reprieve for the team that had a dream to play the World Cup for more than 13 years.

ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2013/14

Just Nepali Cricket/January 15
After facing huge margin defeat in the opening match, Nepal are playing against ODI nation Scotland in subsequent match of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Queenstown Events Centre, New Zealand on Thursday morning.
The competition is vital for Nepal as they already go down against the UAE by 102 runs and another defeat here will trim a expectation to achieve the World Cup spot as well as getting ODI status. However, Scotland is in the similar position as they did lose their inaugural match against Hong Kong by 17 runs.

Beyond Expectation: Match summary of Nepal Vs UAE:

Just Nepali Cricket/January 13

A very disappointing match by Nepali team as they lost it by 102 runs against the UAE. There is no doubt that the UAE are very good side, but we should show more fight with them. Nepal didn't bowl well in the beginning, particularly pacers seemed completely disappointing. UAE's pacers used the condition nicely and kept Nepali batsmen under pressure from the beginning but Nepal's pacers turned out to be very expensive and not threatening at all.

ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2013/14

Just Nepali Cricket/January 12
Nepal is facing the UAE at the first game of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2013/14 in Mainpower Oval, Rangiora on Tomorrow morning. UAE and Nepal both reached the ICC World Twenty20 Cup, through the recently held qualifier tournament in the UAE. Therefore, we can say, this is the tough encounter between two powerhouses of non-test playing Asian nations.
Nepal always dreamt to play the ICC World Cup and this tournament is just a step far from getting the much-awaited goal. However, it is not easy but very sturdy tournament

Paras and Subash suffering from injury and fever

Just Nepali Cricket/January 10

Today, Nepal lost the first warm up match against Namibia by 4 runs. Many of us are very happy that Nepali team pulled the total that much close without the skipper Paras Khadka and opening batsman Subash Khakurel. Yet many people raised eyebrow when they didn't saw Paras and Subash in the playing 11 in such an important exposure game. Coach Pubudu Dassanayake informed Just Nepali Cricket that, Paras is suffering from minor back strain which he carried during the match against

Nepal U19 team manage to win over UAE U19 at the last match in the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2014. Nepali players proved their talent in this contest by fighting with Test nations India and Pakistan.
