Nepal U19 team manage to win over UAE U19 at the last match in the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2014. Nepali players proved their talent in this contest by fighting with Test nations India and Pakistan. They defeated UAE at last match by four wickets. Nepali bowling looks bit weak compare to the preceding U19 teams yet the batting order is very good. Players like, Sunil Dhamala, Bibhatsu Thapa, Amit Shrestha and Siddhanta Lohani showed lots of
potential within themselves. Bowlers like Lalit Singh Bhandari, Susan Bhari and Ram Naresh Giri are also stands with expectation. Aarif Sheikh demonstrated his aggressive batting style and useful bowling in this event. The players in this team are backbone of the Nepali national team and they should be nourished for future and their talent must be used.
At the end, Nepal finished the tournament in high note and now we will follow our national team as they were in New Zealand for the World Cup Qualifier. The team's two scheduled match was washed out due to rain and they are listed to play another two matches in January 6 and 7 before playing official warm up match against Kenya and Namibia on January 10 and 11.
We would like to give best of luck to U19 team for their notable journey and senior team for the upcoming tournament.
