Malaysia defeated Nepal for the first time in cricketing history by 6 wickets in 17.4 over. Batting first, highly expected Nepali team only gathered 112 runs for 6 in the allotted 20 overs. Once, Nepal scored 50-1 in seven over, however they failed to continue the strong start and only scored below par total. Mehboob Alam contributed highest 31 runs and Gyanendra Malla scored 20 runs. Likewise, Paresh Lohani scored 19 runs for the team. In second inning despite losing early wicket, Malaysia finished the game with convincing margin. Nepal will face Kuwait in the second match on November 23.
In other matches, Saudi Arabia won by 1 wicket against Hong Kong.Hong Kong scored 132-6 in their 20 over. Saudi overcome the target in 19.5 over. Another Group B match Kuwait register won against Qatar by 65 runs. Kuwait scored 195-5 in 20 overs and Qatar only able to score 130 runs in 17.5 overs.
Afghanistan defeated China by huge margin of 9 wickets. China made 36 all out in 17 over and Afghanistan overcome the target in 4 over, and lost just 1 wicket during the winning process.
Likewise, Oman defeated Bahrain by 108 runs. Batting first, Oman scored huge 219 runs in lost of 5 wickets and took seven wickets of Bahrain conceded just 111 runs in 20 over.
Singapore lost to United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 62 runs. UAE also scored 219 for 5, same as Oman and Singapore unable to complete the target and throw all wickets only for 157 runs.
