Nepali cricket team won the match by 6 wickets over Qatar in the ACC Twenty20 Cup 2009 at Sharjah, UAE.
Batting first, Qatar managed to score 96 runs in 19 overs and threw all their wickets. I Hussain scored 32 runs and Tamoor Sajjad scored 19 runs for Qatar. Nepali spinners shared 8 wickets off 9 wickets fell and one wicket fell as run out. Basanta Regmi and Shakti Gauchan shared 3 wickets each and Sanjam Regmi got 2 wickets.
In a bid to chase the target, Nepal found difficulty to achieve the target and waited 18 overs for the victory. Vice captain Gyanendra Malla scored not out 39 whereas opener Dipendra Chaudhary and Basanta Regmi scored 28 and 5 not out for Nepal.
A Khan of Qatar took two wickets and S Badshah got 1 wicket in his 4 overs spell.
Nepal's hope to reach the semi final is becoming thin due to the low run rate. Now, all the fortune will be decided after the game against Baharain.
