Opportunity for Nepal

This is the first time, that cricket included at South Asian Games
(SAG) held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from January 29 to February 8,
2010. Nepal along with Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka,
Afghanistan, Maldives and Bhutan will participate in this regional
olympic. The team under 21 years will participate and it will be at
Twenty-20 format.

Nepal named 18 members squad for this tournament. Gyanendra
Malla has been selected for captain and other players are include
Binod handari, Naresh Budhaire, Chandra Sawad, Amrit
Bhattarai, Rupesh Shrivastav, Bhuwan Karki, Amit Shrestha,
Rom Shrestha, Sagar Pun, Anil Mandal, Akash Gupta, Pradeep
Airee, Anupam Singh, Pradeep Sapkota, Subash Khakurel,
Lokendra Chand and U-17 team's captain Prithu Baskota.

Nepal is the giant killer in age group cricket. This is a precious
opportunity for Nepal to retain its name in Test Playing nation. This
is the first time that Nepal not qualifies for ICC U-19 World Cup
Cricket after qualifying four 5 times in previous editions.
