After fail to qualify for semi final, Nepal and Singapore fought in the 5th place play-off match and Nepal won the battle by 9 wickets. Batting first, Singapore scored mere 89 runs in 19.4 overs. SK Sansua hit 25 rns and CR Kumarage and Pramodh Raza contributed 18 and 13 runs respectively. Binod Das of Nepal grab 3 wickets conceded just 21 runs in 3.4 overs. Sanjam also got 3 wickets and Shakti Gauchan and Basanta Regmi shared one wicket each.
In reply, Dipendra Chaudhary and Naresh Budhaire shared unbeaten 77 runs of partnership to guide Nepal to huge victory over ICC World Cricket League Division 6 winner Singapore. Dipendra scored 49 of 40 balls and Naresh contributed 32 in 39 balls. Only wicket fell for Nepal was Mehboob Alam in, who scored just 2 runs. Nepal won the match in just 14.2 overs.
