Skipper Paras Khadka batted brilliantly to defeat Bahrain by 8 wickets at the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division-V match here at the Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidhyalaya (BSAM) grounds, Bhaktapur, Nepal.
Bahrain only gathers 114 runs in 42.5 overs and Nepal surpassed it on 22.5 overs. Nepali spinner shines again and shared 9 wickets between them to trouble Bahrain at their 3rd win in a row. Basanta Regmi took 4 wickets and Sanjam Regmi got 3 and Rahul BK claimed 2 wickets. Pacer Mehboob Alam registers one wicket in his name. For Bahrain, Shahzad Ahmed scored 27 runs. Majid, Saeed, Haq and Hanif are other marks the double figure. Nepal conceded only 6 extra during the bowling.
Shakti Gauchan remained unbeaten in 27 runs is other major contributor after skipper’s half century. The pair added 108 runs for Nepal. Skipper Paras Khadka declared Man of the Match for his brilliant batting.
