Nepali cricket team will visit India for seven practice
matches as part of preparation of the ICC World T20 Qualifier, to be held in
UAE on November.
Nepali team will play first match against Delhi District
Cricket Association (DDCA) eleven at Ferozeshah Kotla cricket stadium. Second
and third practice match will be played with same team and venue on 22 and 23
October. According to source, strength of DDCA team will be decided after
knowing the competence of Nepali team. On 24th, Nepali team will take rest and
only do light training. Likewise, they will play two matches with strong
Railways Eleven team on 25th and 26th.27th and 2 8th will be another rest day.
Moreover, Nepal is scheduled to play two matches on 29th and
3oth of October with the mixed team named Invitational XI.
It is expected that the teams playing against Nepal will be
very good and competitive as this India visit of Nepali team was approved by
Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI). CAN president Tanka Angbuhang did
sign the agreement to play the official matches with DDCA and Railways a month
ago. This will be first official India visit of Nepali team and all matches
will be on Twenty20 format.
