Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) affirmed the
final 14 players and 3 reserve players for the upcoming ACC Premier League 2014
to be held from May 1 to 7 in Malaysia.
Medium pacer Ram Naresh Giri and Aarif Sheikh, after
their tremendous display at domestic cricket league, earned the spot at the senior
team for the first time.
Likewise, Mehboob Alam and Raj Kumar Pradhan, returned
to the team after long time. Raj Kumar and Mehboob represented Nepal last time on
2008 and 2012 respectively.
The selectors decided to retain Paras Khadka as captain
and Gyanendra Malla as his deputy yet again. Other players are, Sharad
Vesawkar, Sompal Kami, Subash Khakurel,Shakti Gauchan, Basant Regmi, Naresh
Budhayer, Sagar Pun, and Binod Bhandari.
Likewise, Bhuwan Karki, Yagya Man Kumal and Puspa
Thapa selected as reserved players.
Nepali is scheduled to play first match
against UAE on May 1. Then after, they will play against Malaysia, Oman, Hong
Kong and Afghanistan on 2, 4, 5 and 7 May respectively.
