CAN declares Women's squad for ACC Tournament, century makers in reserve list

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) selected final 14 players along with four reserve players for the upcoming ACC Women's Premier Trophy to be held from 9 to 19 February 2014 at Thailand.

Indu Berma pulls out from national team, Nary ruled out

Women cricketer Indu Berma, who has been selected for the upcoming ACC Women's Premier Trophy to be held in Thailand from 9-19 February, withdrew her name from the squad. According to a CAN related source, she is preparing for the SLC examination, and choose education in front of the game.

Berma is a regular and youngest member of the team, who represented Region no 4 Bhairahawa in the national league. In 2010, she was part of the team at the age of 13 years. Since then, she is regular member of the U19 and national women team. 

Earlier, Nary Thapa who scored first century in Senior Women's National Cricket Tournament was ruled out due to the Metatarsal bone fracture. The injury will take her out for more than a month.

Korean women cricket in Nepal

Korean women cricket in Nepal for practice and training as part of preparation for the Asian Games to be held in South Korea.The weather there is very chilly there, thus they chose Nepal for their practice session as the weather here is moderate.They are beginner in cricket, and learning the basics of cricket will be better in country like Nepal. South Korean team aims to grab at least bronze medal in Asian Games.

Nary Thapa hits first ever century by women cricketer

Nary Thapa of Region no 5 (Nepalgunj) receiving player of the match award after hitting 121 Not Out in just 128 balls with 21 fours against Region No 3 (Kathmandu) during their Senior Women's National Cricket Tournament 2070, in TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. This is first time that women cricketer reached 100 runs in any format and level.
