Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announces 18 members squad for closed-camp training. Nepal will participate in ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier held in Ireland starting from 28 July to 9 August 2011. In this tournament Nepal along with Afghanistan (Asia region), Namibia, Kenya (Africa region), Scotland, host Ireland (European region), Papua New Guinea,
Vanuatu (East Asia Pacific) and United States of America, Canada (Ameica region) will participate in this single qualifying process for ICC U-19 World Cup Cricket 2012. Top six nations move forward to global tournament.
The players selected by National selection committee under Bijay Kumar Sharma are, Prithu Banskota, Sagar Pun, Bhuwan Karki, Naresh Budhayer, Faizrul Rehman Khan, Subhash Khakurel, Rahul Biswokarma, Avinash Karna, Krishna Karki, Pradep Airee, Jitendra Mukhiya, Suvendu Pandey, Amit Dahal, Amrit Shrestha, Amit Shrestha, Nischal Pandey and Rajesh Pulami.
Close camp will start from June 6 at Kathmandu. Nischal Pandey, Rupesh Shreevastav, Amit Shrestha, Suvendu Pandey, Jitendra Mukhiya and Amrit Shrestha selected for first time to represent U-19 level in International cricket for Nepal.
