Australia's Chris Harris,
who is in Nepal as batting tutor, might work to link Nepali and Australia
Cricket. According to Coach Pubudu Dassanayake, Harris will work to arrange a
training session and practice matches at Victoria before Nepal leave to New
Zealand for the ICC World Cup Qualifier 2014.


Harris will stay until
October 12 as he was invited Nepal for 10 days campaign. Harris said 'Nepali
players are very gifted and just needs to draw their attention on few cricketing
shots to
score quick runs' at press meet organized by Cricket Association of
Nepal (CAN) at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. Currently, Harris is focusing on those
weaknesses of players.
The High Performance
Program (HPP) Manager Purna Lama and CAN member Sanjeev Uprety, Physio
Veerasamy Subramaniam, Sri Lankan
bowlers Nuwan Sameera, Sanjeewa Bandara, Romesh
Kaluarachchi and
Ruwinda Shamen also took part at that program. Sri Lankan bowler also praised
Nepali batsmen and believed they are also having a good practice with such a
bunch of talents.
Moreover, Physio
Veerasamy Subramanian said cricketer Prithu Banskota will be unavailable for
the ICC World T20 Qualifier but he has huge possibility to play the ICC world
Cup Qualifier (50 over) in New Zealand, however it will depend upon his injury
recovery.
