Nepal thrashed District Cricket Association, Gajiabaad by massive 55 runs at the additional game played on the originally scheduled rest day at Nehru Cricket Stadium Gajiabaad, Delhi today. October 27 and 28 originally scheduled as rest day but Nepali team got extra game that was provided by District Cricket Association, Gajiabaad.

Gajiabaad team won the toss and invited Nepal to bat first. Nepal made a good-looking 144 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Pradeep Airee top scored with 39 runs off 33 balls while Vice Captain Gyanendra Malla added 33 more runs off 23 balls to the scoreboard. Likewise, Rahul Bishwakarma, who came to bat as a pinch hitter scored 24 runs and opener Mahesh Chettri contributed 22 runs. Batsmen made 135 for Nepal while and nine runs came as extra. Asif Mansoori of Gajiabaad took highest three wickets while Sanjeev Singh and Gaurav Tomar shared two wickets each.

Chasing down the massive target, Gajiabaad managed to reach only 89 runs losing its entire 10 wickets in 17.4 overs. Sahil Tyagi top scored with 22 runs off 15 balls for Gajiabaad. Gaurav Tomar added 17 runs to it. Shivendra Paul and Nandu tyagi contributed 11 runs each in their scoreboard but that was too less to reach the target laid before them.

To restrict Gajiabaad to meager 89 runs, left arm pacer Avinash Karn claimed 3 wickets conceding only 26 runs in 4 overs while Jitendra Mukhiya and Rahul Bishwakarma took two wickets each conceding only 22 and 16 runs respectively. Shakti Gauchan and Captain Paras Khadka took one wicket apiece.

Nepal will take on Invitational XI at Bharatnagar Academy Ground at 10:15 Nepali Standard Time tomorrow.
