Government honors Nepali cricket team

Two commercial banks also felicitated players

Nepali Cricketers felicitated by Government  for the achievement of reaching the ICC World Twenty20 Cup 2014, finishing third at 16 team qualifier event, which was held at UAE.

Chairperson of Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi handed NPR one million each
and certificates to 15 members of the winning team. Coach Pubudu Dassanayake also felicitated with NPR five lakhs for his contribution. Assistant coach Dipendra Pratap Singh, Physio Subramaniam Virasammy and Technical analyst Sriram Somayazula and team manager Purna Lama got 3 lakhs and 50 thousands each for their support. Earlier, the government decided to admire players immediately after reaching the World Cup. 

Century commercial bank and Siddhartha Bank felicitated Nepali team members for their biggest success in sporting history by qualifying in the ICC World Twenty20 Cup 2014.
Century bank provided NPR 11000 each and certificates to the players. The bank also tied up with Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) as official banking partner. The Century Bank also proclaimed the lucrative propose to the players who will contribute significantly in the upcoming 50 over World Cup Qualifier. Players will get NPR one lakh if they scored century or took five wickets in a match. Moreover, bank offered 50 thousands to players who score half century and took three wickets in a match and same amount for the bowler who took hat trick.

Likewise, Siddhartha Bank also felicitated players with NPR five lakh for the accomplishment. The Bank also offered the job to Prithu Banskota and Som Pal Kami, who were not part of the team that created history by reaching Twenty20 world cup. Now, these two players will get NPR 15000 per month until two years. The bank also provided Visa Prepaid Card with NPR 25000 balance to the 17 players along with the coach Pubudu Dassanayake, physio Subramiam Verasammy and team manager Purna Lama.
